How did South Africa, in general, hosted the Confederation Cup 2009?
For the first time in history, South Africa hosted a Confederation Cup, which I consider as a mini-world cup. Lot of doubts engulf South Africa abouth its capability to hosting such a big tournament. How do you think they fare in terms of overall performance including transportation, hospitality, stadiums, Bafana Bafana, and many other things? Did you enjoy it?
I understand the doubts but i think south africa did their best to be a great host. Okay maybe the pitch wasnt top notch but it was ok, the teams still played well. Come 2010, they'll really deliver, no doubt.
I enjoyed it because the crowd acted like ours back home especially with the vuvuzelas (the horns, as most people who arent used to them call them).
I enjoyed the games though they were full of surprises, who would have thought SA (south africa) would be in the top 4??? I always thought the final match would be spain vs brazil. I didnt expect USA to go as far as it did.
For the 1st time i was glued to the screen during a football game. I'm a typical girl who has no time for football but I loved the Confederation cup!!!!
