this seems to be an ongoing argument amongst many friends of mine.
why doesn't Spain come to the Copa America as a guest already.
I would absolutely love to see david villa, nino torres, fabregas and the rest of Spain play in the Copa America?
Goalkeeper: Spain's Casillas is the best
Defenders: i think spain is also better, with puyol and ramos
Midfielders: kaka vs riquelme vs xavi, supported by other great players. it will be really tight on midfield. i think spain has a bit of advantage with players like fabregas, iniesta, silva, xabi alonso to support xavi. however, kaka, riquelme, and other brazil and argentina midfielders also have great individual skills. so it will depend on who has the fittest squad at certain time.
Forwards: argentina wins it, with messi, aguero, and tevez. closely followed by spain with torres and villa.
star players: messi vs kaka vs torres. they're almost equal, but messi is the best.
overall: history says brazil is the best, but currently it's spain and argentina who are on the top form. argentina has the best individual players, but as a team, if spain continues to play like they showed in euro 08, any teams will have little chance to beat them.
