Best settings on a point-and-shoot for indoor pictures?
What are the best settings t select when taking pictures in a house or a mall?
I have Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX150, so i can select the shutter speed manually.
another thing, in low light situations, should i raise the exposure or should i lower it?
oh and i have noticed that i can select the exposure of the flash, what difference does it make ?
Auto is fine.
Just remember to have it on a tripod, suppress the flash and use your remote or the self timer to trip the camera.
Fine tune with EV comp and keep an eye out for white balance troubles.
Are you trying to use the onboard flash inside to illuminate your image? That's tough. You can raise and lower the output of the flash in case you are experiencing blow-out.
I never use an onboard flash inside. That is a sure way to create terrible looking pictures. The only time I use the onboard flash is outside if I need a little subtle fill light.
(Please ignore all of this if you are trying to take pictures of people inside the home or mall and not the home or mall itself.)
