News 4/28/03: In the most exciting match of the club’s history, City overcomes a 0-2 deficit, to defeat Melchester Rovers 3-2. News 11/4/02: The Season is over! I'll always remember the high points, like the 2-1 victory over the Wanderers, or tying Morelos from the 1st division (a game that we would have won, with a better referee) in the Cup. Perhaps the 3-0 victory over Alameda 2001 was sweet revenge, or the thrilling comeback 1-1 draw in the downpour vs Antioch. It was also nice to see Conor Farrell's raised arms and tumble after his goal in the 7-2 victory over Imperio.
News 10/13/02: City loses again to a well-organized Martin Mack, 4-1. Martin Mack’s #10 was in top form, and was their man of the match. City’s only highlight was Vlad’s awesome solo goal, and Kaiser’s nude scene after the match.

News 7/16/02: City played courageously on Sunday, but was knocked out of the SF Copa by the major division side, Club Marin, 7-1. Kudos to Philippe, who filled in at the keeper spot for us, and played the entire match without keeper gloves. He also played the entire 2 nd half with a broken finger, and a hand that was fractured in 2 places, from an injury he picked up in the 1 st half. If that’s not dedication, I don’t know what is. Philippe, you are awarded the SF City purple heart! Here’s to a speedy recovery!
News 7/7/02: Another tie for SF City as we drew with Deportivo Nacional 3-3. Kaiser, who took an ass-kicking from AnnMarie after the match at Zeitgeist, wants to know when the lads of Scotland are going to pay him his $80.
News 7/1/02: City tied Morelos yesterday 2-2. We would have had the victory if not for an outrageous dive committed by the other team in the box. Unfortunately, the ref bought it and awarded the penalty, tying the match. Men of the match: Vladimir Ovodov & Marco Costantino.

Vladimir equalized in the 78th minute, and City had several additional chances, but failed to score. Andrew Williams filled in at goal brilliantly, claiming the entire penalty area and far beyond it. News 4/14/02: Result: 1-1 . SF City’s match with Alameda 2001 was abandon in the 75 th minute by the referee, due to Alameda 2001 bringing the game in to disrepute. After SF City’s tying goal in the 70 th minute by Vladimir Ovodov, Alameda 2001 decided to take out their frustrations on our French star, Brice Hauser-Kauffmann. That action resulted in a melee, which was ended by the referee. Despite Alameda 2001’s actions, SF City played an excellent match, but were unable to score early despite several chances. Kudos to Rob for filling in at the keeper spot, in which he was top notch! We will be filing an official protest of the match. Details on that later… Man of the match: Rob Johnson

A better 2 nd half for City resulted in a beautiful 55 th minute goal by Andrew Williams. Marco Costantino weaved through the Wanderers defense a laid a perfect pass for Andrew on the top of the box – which he first-timed a perfect left-footed bullet in the right hand side of the net. News 3/15/02 : SF City FC had a good practice on Wednesday in preparation for Sunday’s match. 3-4 people on the roster remain injured, which makes the manager’s selection job a bit easier.
